Best Weighted Blanket of 2026: YnM 15lb Weighted Blanket Review
You've probably seen weighted blankets all over your social media feed. They're marketed as a cure for everything from anxiety to insomnia. But does the YnM weighted blanket — the #1 best seller on Amazon — actually deliver?
We've been using the YnM 15lb weighted blanket every night for the past four weeks. Here's our honest take.
What Is a Weighted Blanket?
A weighted blanket is exactly what it sounds like — a heavier blanket filled with glass beads or plastic pellets. The idea is based on Deep Pressure Stimulation (DPS), which some studies suggest can increase serotonin and melatonin levels while reducing cortisol — the stress hormone.
It's essentially a hug that stays on all night.

Our Experience After 4 Weeks
Week 1: It felt weird at first. Too heavy. I kept kicking it off. But the instructions say to give it 7-10 days to adjust, so I stuck with it.
Week 2: Something clicked. I noticed I was moving around less in bed. My partner said I stopped tossing and turning.
Week 3-4: I genuinely fall asleep faster. Not in the "miracle cure" way — maybe 10-15 minutes faster. But I stay asleep longer and wake up less during the night.
✓ Pros
- Great value at $35.99
- Cotton cover breathes well
- Glass beads don't shift around
- 4.6 stars from 23k+ reviews
✗ Cons
- Not machine washable (cover sold separately)
- Too warm for summer nights
- 15lb may be too heavy for some
